  1. The thing I don't understand skimming through this thread is how combat players even care if legal runs are robbable. As some have said I see a big issue being that illegal runs just aren't worth the risk/effort overall currently. Certainly there has to be better things for combat players to do besides bothering legal runs? If not, why not? Lets address that as a core issue rather than looking for a change that only suits bored combat players.

As for the crafters of weapons being unchecked that's just lazy RP/effort, flat out. If people wanted to actually keep that in check they would figure out who is pushing the guns that heavily and just catch them in the act of passing them off, or even go as far as to gain their trust and then set them up on a big deal, etc. That's an illegal gun transaction, not a legal run, 100% fair game. People don't wanna put in that effort though they want the easy cop out of camping the mines, processors, and traders. Often bothering people just grinding a little XP or money, rarely hitting these big crafters people are actually talking about. Also if your a combat player wanting to rob these runs based on this logic why would you care how well off a crafter of guns is? Why would an over saturated gun market EVER be bad for a combat player?

I feel a large portion of this thread is laying its blame in the wrong area and looking to rob legal runs as something to do since its a popular activity currently. Rather than addressing why more people aren't doing more illegal things or why there isn't more criminal activity in general. Another thing I feel a lot are leaving out is this is early wipe and we aren't even at the stage of having class 3s yet, but people are basing their desire for this massive change as if its already a thing and their speculations of the future are a fact. When I personally believe they are bored looking for someone to come after because of a lack of activity driving combat on the criminal side.

Lastly I will say for those who bring up the late night hours where there is a low cop population, that has ALWAYS since 3.0 been the grind hours where the majority of people around are grinders. Hell even in 2.0 where grinders were made fun of heavily, and grinding was far from embraced on the server, had its late night grind crew of rats just trying to actually make some cash. That isn't gonna change unless you run them all off then you have combat players in an empty server at night, congrats.

    Main role on the server:
    Civilian

    Time at ANZUS:
    Since 2.0 - 3,500 Hours+

Opinions on each rule and what you voted:
    1. & 2. I'm combining both one and two as my opinion on cop responses and group initiations is the same. I personally have no preference on the number of people who are at a major or initiating in a fight within reason. I do feel however "zerging" from groups is a bit toxic/aids, and may be an issue. I almost feel having a soft cap of like a ratio would be better. For example you cant outnumber the civs at a major by more than 4 to 1, or you cant initiate on a group more than 4 to 1. Something to keep some semblance of fairness to fights beyond just peoples good faith, because unfortunately there are always shitheads who will abuse it to their advantage and make every situation they are involved in shitty for the other parties involved.

    3. I voted yes to keep this rule around. I have been here for a long time and in my opinion illegal runs should have always been able to be robbed at any time without question. Outside of the cartel/mafia robbing their own runs that people are paying fees for. Its part of the inherent risk of doing illegal runs and you should be on edge for something to happen during these runs. As well as if you are paying fees to someone it adds a lot of RP for both you to hunt down the robbers, or for you to bring it to the cartel and see if they can handle it since its their shit being robbed. I honestly have no idea how or why illegal runs were off the table to be robbed without reason.

    4. I'm hard voting no on this. I love to frag, and I know that its ARMA and people want to frag, but this is a travesty for anyone who enjoys roleplay. There is so many ways for people to get their robbing, fragging, and asshole frustrations out on the server I don't feel we need to open the floodgates on letting them inflict that on anyone at any time outside of one city on the map. With the above rule hopefully staying people can go rob anyone doing illegal runs, why let them fuck with the ones doing legal stuff, or new players?? The server will go back to what it was in 2.0, in a sense, where you cant even have a conversation with someone outside of the city because 9/10 people are trying to be an asshole. It was one of the happiest things I've seen Anzus move away from that has opened up a lot more roleplay and chances for interaction with people that will unfortunately just go back to rob, frag, frag, frag, mentality all of the time. I understand it may not happen all the time right now with the changes so far, but it took a while for that mentality to leave when they stopped people from doing it before, and after a bit of it being back I fear that mentality will come back in full force. Something that if it does go back to and it is the norm again, I wouldn't even be interested in playing as a player or streaming as a streamer anymore, as its just not enjoyable being greased for no reason all the time. I'm not playing a Altis life server.

Back in the day every single car that went past you would turn around and try to rob you. Every time you wrecked your car, someone tried to rob you. You tried to help a guy broken down? Guess what he tried doing? Robbing, Watch the following clip from Kamdam 2.0:

You can see me watch him the second he goes by, already knew it was coming. The sad part is with the old ways this isn't a rare thing this was a FREQUENT occurrence. I would have at least 5 of these fights for nothing in a 2-3 hour play session back then. The server was no RP, only looking for killing. No interaction like Altis servers, and I hope we don't go back to this. I have over 50+ unlisted videos from 2.0 on my youtube channel I could show of how shit the server was for RP back then if its needed to solidify my position and why I am taking such a hard stance against this if more examples are needed. The above is just an example of how almost every interaction on the server was back then. I'm sure the fraggers are saying "Hell yea" to this, but as I have stated they have so many ways now to get that out this isn't necessary anymore.

Acknowledgement that you've taken a spoonful of concrete:
Of course, I prefer mortar most mornings though.

We can try it I just know it may of been causing crashes sadge.

Maybe put a disclaimer next to the "Optional" status that says "If you experience crashes disable this first as in some setups it may cause crashing"

I only say this because I have not had the crashing issue and I genuinely can not say how much even something like an m-900 sounds so much better. I'm sure the others that use it without issues and love it can attest, and best part is its optional.

  4. Question 1: I'm impartial to there being a wipe or not. I'll personally be doing the content and playing either way. I'm not against wipes but I feel something more needs to be done with the XP system if we are going to be doing wipes. The whole point of our current one was the longevity but if we are wiping I would hope we could do something to adjust the current system to make it realistic to achieve some of the higher level perks that even Parker was no where near by the end of this wipe if it happens. If we don't wipe I will continue the grind and really enjoy using my stuff I have amassed to do some of the content like races.

Question 2: I love the crafting system and what it was on a personal level, but I can agree this is the best move for the community going forward. I'm not against the idea of having some stuff worth getting into crafting for too still, so that will be a good middle ground. We shall see how the mag scalping goes this time though haha.

Question 3: I've been around and done majors in both the current system and this old one. I'm 100% for trying this out again and it will add some flare to it. Externals and outdoor combat will be much more of an option, not just quick peeks indoors all the time. That's always an option too though even with the KOS system.

Question 4: I'm all for this as long as people who are abusing it, or if they give any roleplay reason to be robbed regardless of uniform, can truly be robbed then I'm good with it.

Overall I think a lot of this is change for the better, and of course will adapt as we go. I'll vote yes for it all, except on the wipe I'm going impartial on the wipe with hopes that if it does wipe we can get a little bit of help on the XP system to use it better.

And can we please keep these JSRS soundmods, they are so POG

  5. I 100% support Takistan server after seeing many purges die rapidly. Purge sounds fun and is but loses its muster very quickly in my opinion. I would definitely put more into takistan vs purge, personally.

And NGL after being cooped up with Mafia and very little to no gang activity for a long time I'm a bit biased and wanna be a terrorist and blow some of you fucks up!

7.17 - If a major is active and another major goes off, that major can only be called off if less than 1:1.5 can respond initially. This is deemed by the highest ranking cop online. (New)

So to make sure I understand this. Say there was a major recently they are finishing up, and we kick off a major with 6 people. Does this mean if they have 9 to respond that they are not allowed to cancel it now just cause there's two people camping out the last major? If so I LOVE that.
