If we do Chromium I feel it would too limitied. Also currently Chromium is the #1 ingredient in Speed Imports cars. So not only people who are wanting to hoard it for guns but also other buisnesses.

Sounds to me like you need a suggestion to change your main requirement away from something that should be used (and was intended for use) for guns to be restricted, into something like the modshop has where it's just a large amount of generally grindable material -- and oil.

I feel as if the limited nature of something that doesn't just bolster prices by a flat amount which doesn't help the economy at all for weapon crafting is needed.

  2. I do feel like instead of the pins, Chromium should have been replaced. I made this comment in the original thread.

Chromium you can get roughly 150 of per restart, meaning only 450 is in the eco every day and people are going to fight over it.

Not sure why this measure wasn't put in, instead of the firing pins, as the restriction of how many guns could be made a day via Chromium requirements would've had the same effect of making them more valuable without absolutely hard lining everyone's pockets. Can't even make a hunting rifle I used to sell for $6,000 without now charging $11,000 -- all to still make the same profit margin of ~$1,000.

  3. As somebody who has had the chance to own the Special Carry License on two occasions, even when this carry license was busted and allowed you to carry the Saiga 12 which everyone and their mothers feared, it's time for me to put my opinions in this post.

The Special Carry license, or the Third Firearms Amendment Act, were not bad choices. The execution of the license roll outs, the spread of information regarding them and how some people carried themselves with these licenses was.

I do personally believe that the reason that the Third Firearms Amendment Act failed was because that everyone had obtained the Extended Firearms license rather easily, a lot of people who shouldn't have had the license, had the license; a lot of people who had the license also did not read the act in its entirety or did not decipher the legalese surrounding the law change itself. Brandishing a Firearm for many, many years had been defined (plus, is defined in real life) as actively holding a firearm with the intent to cause fear or threaten an individual -- with the act it was updated to state that Displaying all or part of a firearm, other than holstered pistols, within city limits OR after a warning from LEO (ie, outside of city limits, a cop could ask you to put it away and if you ignored then it was in violation of this law) which nobody paid attention to so everyone roamed with class 2s on their back wherever they may go.

The last part of the issue is worthy of its own paragraph, but the biggest issue is the overwhelming lack of Firearms Law Enforcement there has ever been. Most people don't realize that it's illegal for a period of time to own any firearm after being arrested, I believe it's 7 days and to add the problem, licenses aren't revoked in the cases where they should be. Nobody ever finds themselves having their Extended Firearms licenses revoked, nobody ever finds themselves being arrested and/or questioned for pulling a pistol out of a non-visible holster without a Concealed Carry license. In order for acts like this to work, Firearms Law Enforcement has to be increased and most importantly in a way that is non-violent or aggressive.

So what do I think actually should happen?

I believe that these acts, particularly if done through an additional very strictly enforced license such as the return of the Special Carry License, really benefit the very small portion of the community that takes on the genuine burden of the legal lifestyle, making it many months without a singular arrest of any kind means that you are missing out on honestly a vast majority of the content in the server -- often times meaning that you are in considerably smaller groups and/or often a solo player, which leaves you entirely at the mercy of always being harassed or robbed by the gang(s) on the server. All that the repeal of these bills did was "fuck with the small guy", as even on the very same day that the bill was repealed I was at Earth Mine mining for Colbalt Ingots as CTRG and gangs such as Dirty Bandits came by with Class 3s openly on their back.

These acts can work with the increase in Firearms Law Enforcement, the revocation of Licenses in violation of the law and/or license terms and the cooperation of people with the license understanding their intention -- for anyone that didn't like it, other than the fact that cops would go after you the second they saw you with a class 3 on your back, I'd like to know what was different to a legal person, with a legal gun, with the legal loopholes and licenses they had to go through in comparison to a criminal with a class 3 openly, which happens all day every day.

  4. This is already part of the Medics SOP's and as such, I would suggest reporting instances like this directly to EMS command element(s).

  5. My only comments is that I don't seem to find the reason that somehow making it so that you can rob legal people changes a whole lot apparently? This isn't the answer to a problem, by any means. It's another "one side thinks they are the victim, so lets make the other side the victim instead" situation and people will want to leave just as much because of this change.

However, has everyone forgotten about Chromium? Chromium being (a) a limited resource that only a certain amount can be mined every restart and (b) required for practically every gun beyond Class 2's.. also fixes a lot of what is being complained about here.

  6. The requirement for a URL has been removed from both /bug and /fivembug -- this doesn't mean that we don't want proof, as we still want pictures and/or video but the issue that is being described here was because the regular expression that validated a URL didn't work for EVERY URL and also failed if more than one was provided. This should fix the complaint, minus you wanting it to go back to a template in the channel, considering that in the background the reason that /bug and /fivembug exist is because it automatically creates Trello tickets for us from bug reports which injects issues into the developer workflow. (this is also why devs don't pay attention to any chatter in those channels)

Don't give us trash bug reports please.

  7. The only reason that I would say -1 is because demonic IS possible, starmetal not so much. This feature was intended as a grind and one that myself and others begrudgingly set upon a long time ago and it was good vibes; people got to benefit out of having free material when they showed up to the mine which lead to the community expanding a little. Newer players had an easier time with early game runs, they got to meet more experienced players, etc.

The grind isn't impossible, at least not for demonic. You also just have to rely on a little bit of server/game knowledge to min/max appropriately. There are food items that specifically will help you be about 5x more efficient in this run.

I really do think barring starmetal, people just need to have the grind mindset and flex some game knowledge to min/max appropriately. There's a reason why people like me who have been mostly on the FiveM server since release are still so high up on leaderboards.

    6. How did you loose the item you are requesting compensation for: : The garage ate everything on my vehicle.
I spent ~13,000 on cosmetic modifications plus another 24,000 on a turbo. I would like 37,000 back so I can get everything redone to my vehicle.

Sorry to say this but regular cops don't have access to this stuff but SWAT/DEA/Sherriff/VICE do have access to these type of weapons and SOST mags and snipers so normal Patrol Cops may not have matching but I have seen cops using LMGs and Snipers so i feel like this suggestion is just trying to yet again put the Police Force even stronger as Civs would lose this stuff but all the PD that gets them will still have them.

Personally I feel like this thread is a result of a Cops Must Win mentality (i know some people won't like this comment but its how i see it.)

People have done one hell of a grind to be able to make this sort of stuff and sell them and all this would do is yet again screw over the hard grinding crafters

these are my opinions as a player

Hate to break it to you, but DEA doesn't even have access to 5.56 SOST nor 7.62 weapons and I promise you, as the business owner of KD, any cops that have been seen with LMGs have paid excruciating amounts of money to own that gun and there's only 5 that can do so. Ask @Alexis Sanchez how many times he came by, dropped $120k only to lose the gun within 30 minutes.

  10. I have been a player since late-Kamden at this point, on all walks of the roleplay. Police, medic, legal civilian, illegal civilian, gang commands, etc. After the experiences I have had I will say that this is the closest to 3.0-vibe in terms of gameplay and experiences with others that I have had since 3.0.

Do some people take the piss with it? Yes.

Does that mean that it has been bad? No.

The only thing that I do think needs a little bit of protection still is the legal civilians who realistically don't have the ability to defend themselves nearly as well against large 8+ man groups of gangs with class 3's. The only change I really think is required is that legal runs and for instance, the ol' limiting factor of anyone not in gang/rebel uni/vests. This not only helps to protect those who legally can't do much other than pray the cops have a rapid response time and also helps those who are new to the server have a bubble for a little while to get "in the game" so to speak. People get bored and then they just see a car at a mine, like ruby or steel, then decide that's something to do.

So to summarize, yes to everything however protect legal & new people a little bit more.

All these applicants for official talk show/news/radio stations could instead be one large station that does all 3; news, music, and talk show over a set freq. Doing just music/talk show over a freq for hours at a time can become boring. I can see an integration of a music/talk show going, then interrupting with "Breaking News" and switching to a news broadcast for any major crimes or other reported incidents, or switching to news broadcasts for updates on situations (ex. an active DOJ case) with a Twitch live feed from a news helicopter/news van. Conveniently, we already have a "breaking news" report for major crimes by AAN World News, so that integrates nicely.

@Harvey Armstrong - this is somewhat what I had already planned for the radio station, working with a certain set of tools to actually facilitate this as well as having a content creation team which is tasked with creating clips, advertisements, etc to interlace so that it isn't just purely music.
