Wasn't saying they should show under the profile was more when PD go to the effort of getting a warrant for a raid they essentially get a 'report' which shows 'Suspect A has a vehicle stored at Alta St Apartments Garage' with no details of what it is but when the raid occurs PD can actually access the vehicle see its a VIN and search/charge accordingly.

Potentially having it so if a VIN is stored at 'X' location for more than 14 days it is flagged or something, meaning crims have to move vehicles around continuously adding additional risk as well.

I just wanted to see where your head was at, appreciate the response, im not 100% sure if we want to list them under raid per say as all vehicles that are VIn Scratched are immediately subject to be crushed, but going along with your idea, the "properties" could end up filing a report to the PD of suspicious vehicles left on the lot, (same idea of abandoned vehicles on property) that after x amount of time it gets flagged and we are allowed to "pull" the vehicle to investigate it.

Having this kind of system in place would make it to where civs would have to continue to move their vehicles from parking to parking unless on private property such as an owned home/house. Once a Vin scratched vehicle is stored at a house then maybe some sort of way to identify if a suspicious vehicle is stored on property could be added as right now in theory cars just "poof" and are hidden but in storage at the same time. Where as in reality these illegal vehicles would need room/space to be physically stored

I really hope to see more unbiased opinions from Civs as this does at the end of the day impact everyone as well as the economy and the longevity of the server.

Agree with this in all honesty. Potentially should considering limiting how many vehicles can be stored at Alta to encourage less illegal items being stored in literally the place with the most foot traffic. It would mean criminals/gangs would have to think more about where to store vehicles/items rather than the ‘safe zone’ of apartments.

Should the solution not just be when PD have a raid warrant that includes search and seizure for somebody's garage they should be able to see that the suspect has a vehicle stored at whichever garage it is. The garage should be considered a physical location which is tied to every individual. This way VIN scratches can still be seized and searched when there is appropriate PC to do so.

Storage of vehicles as a wider point needs reworking across the board. To many vehicles have 750 storage when in reality it just makes no sense them doing so.

However from PD side I don't believe the Vin Scratched vehicles should just show up under people who have them as this defeats the purpose of them however, these vehicle should not be free storage and have some sort of element of risk. The vehicles could be shown in someway by "searching the parking lot". This should only happen when we have some sort of suspicion a vehicle is there, or it has been there for X amount of time, such as a suspicious vehicle tip off, then we would have to get a warrant for the "parking lot" or something along these lines

Making VIN Scratches traceable defeats the whole purpose of it being a VIN Scratch. Just make them so that they arent able to be parked with items in them, since thats the focus of the issue.

Let me give you a theoretical story here. You're staking someone out, they pull a vehicle. You run the plate, registration shows it a stolen, unregistered vehicle (vin scratch) you watch them store it. Now you know where it is. You theoretically have PC and still have no way to access the vehicle.  What then, there needs to be a level of risk, how this is done I'm not sure.

    - I’m getting dejavu of what I’ve heard from 4.0 in that we’d be repeating previous mistakes which ultimately decimated server pop. As gang zones will become worthless, cartel won’t be played nor will cap zones as they risk someone losing a great deal of cash over the chance that someone is just roaching inside a red zone. People just won’t be bothered to take the risk.

    - people will grow to despise having only access to smgs and pistols in their shops and won’t see the point of even playing.

Aside from gameplay, another issue I have with entirely relying on crafters is the wait time. I have no issue whatsoever buying from crafters, in fact, I often bought crafted guns but the wait on such an order would either take a week or two or just never come to Fruiting - as crafting enough guns to give an individual player a stable resource of equipment takes time and won’t be available for everyone on the server.

I like crafting when you have to build a relation with a crafter or weapons dealer, giving you access to higher tier weapons - but this is where I think the market control over class 3s should not go beyond buying SOST guns or those 7.62+ rifles people are very keen to get their hands on.

everyone should have a fair and equal access to regular 5.56 class 3s, 2s and 1s and it shouldn’t come at an expensive premium whether you’re a cop or a civ. As an AU player and much like our other AU brethren, we do not have the Timezone for us to access a lot of NA crafters as well or to be on at the same time - it’ll ultimately depend on who you know in order for you just to be able to buy a base kit and I doubt players are going to want to deal with that in my Timezone.

Being AU one of the worst things ever is getting on to play on any NA/EU server and seeing 20 people on the server at 5pm in the evening. One of the great things is our server pop, and I hope that we can install class 3s fairly and at an affordable price so that people can continue to play and have fun on cop and on civ.

Again, I’m all for option 3 - cheap class 3s - and I don’t want to see server pop die. We have something great here - a great map (I recon the best one we’ve ever had) and great mechanics to back it up.

Here's where I want to point out that crafting is very different now, its a lot easier to grind (progression wise) Anyone can craft and get to the higher tiers now with less grind. Whilst I agree expensive class 3s could cause issues, this could be a way to keep some balance, there are major's to get class 3s, crafting, airdrop, transport, and maybe some low tier class 3s in the shop. This is just to get us started things can always start adding things into the shop on further updates.

  5. My opinion on the topic of class 3's is

    1. add class 2s to the rebel shop and let them be used freely.

    2. Add class 3s to the transport truck, Smug boat, airdrop crate, pirate boat, these can also be used freely. (High risk losing a 3 that can only be found)

    3. Run this for 5 days, Monday to Saturday. If people like it, keep it for another week and then release crafters to sell 3s and let them control the gun market.

    4. (maybe) - Military base I'm not sure if it's a major because I've never seen it pop. But make the robbery there give class 3s of x amount.

    5. after x amount of time release 3s to the shops - say 3-6 months from now
