  1. They are, even small 3-5 man groups have completed them.  Yes there are some that are much harder than others and could possibly due with revising. I would encourage you or anyone else to post specific examples of them and what you think they should be lowered to, but to say that gang challenges as a whole are not do-able is not really true imo.

I remember when something like this existed for all majors, where if police gained control over the major item/room and had the means to logically transport said item out of the major they could seize it.  This rule was the single most significate change to how majors played out that I can remember is Anzus history as it forced the major fight to actually be about the major item itself rather than who can hold the more powerful random angle.

    I personally would like to see something like this return and have it where the major item is the goal for civs to protect and get away with, rather than the major being about starting it and running 100M away to an angle that give a quick peek advantage but nothing to do with the robbery itself.  HOWEVER, it would require not just rule around when it can be seized, but also development work to change how seizing itself works.  Eg rather than seizing and it instantly goes poof, it is collected into special evidence bags for example that the police can turn in at a PD or that if the civs win can take and sell like normal.  This obviously comes with risks and rewards on RP, corruption, etc though that would need to be considered but I do believe forcing the majors to be about the major itself is an overall positive change.

To be clear I have not spent a whole lot of time looking at contacts since the update, but what about some form of rep system with the port in order to get better/bigger contracts?  Eg the larger and more contacts you complete in the given time, the higher your rep goes and the larger and higher value contracts you unlock.  This way players still can get the value from contracts they are used to, but would require a bit of build up and progressive monetary increases, or even once you reach a contain rep level you start getting the illegal contracts as you have built up trust with the port.

    I can understand the frustration of those who's primary way of making money is contracts, but I also fully see the side of wanting contracts to not be some untouchable meta for money making like it has been thus far in the .0.

  4. -1 I am going to probably have a bit of a hot take here, but contracts are meant to be a bit challenging and there are quite a few ways to make it easier on you as.  I think baring server related issues if you choose to do a contract you accept the risk of not finishing it and should take that into consideration when choosing what contract if any to do.  As is contacts have been a major factor in de-stabilizing the eco, making them easier does not seem like a great idea imo.

    There is a massive difference between saying we should not have an RDM rule vs we should not have a "no stealing cars that were just unlocked" rule.  Also 250 ping is very high lol.  Reality is that you choose when/if you unload your car, there is little to no risk in just waiting for them to walk away or simply ask them to step away from your car without having to initiate on them.  I get it can be annoying and you most likely had a bad experience with this happening is why you posted this, but micro managing how others play is not the solution to your problem.

    That fall more in the lines of existing rules regarding interfering with others RP/situations you have no place in, not what is being suggested here.  (3.17 for example) 

  6. -1 Gets way too far into ruleplay, just don’t unlock your car with someone right next to it who might steal it.

     

    its also worth nothing that you are wrong about who gets in first, whoever was last in the driver seat gets in faster if two people do it at the same time.  It would require a massive ping difference for your theory to be true, so much so that if you have that high of ping you prob should not be playing until it is fixed.

  7. -1 When driving offroad you are slowed significantly as is, and like Hunter said with how more of the terrain is around the map and all the random trees/bushes offroad is already punishing enough.

  8. -1, There is no reason for this to be a thing.  If you get shot from the other side of the border, just shoot back...  When we start adding rules like this we take Ruleplay to a whole new level.

    I would like it to bortac/cg as well, but the reality is they are too inactive for it.  We face this every .0/.5 and every time cg or in this case bortac is a problem that prevents BD from being done.  We play the game of trying to fix it on the PD side but every time it comes back up again.
     

     My suggestion on both sides is to set the server settings to count all of JTF towards the 4 needed to mine/process.  Then internally within the PD have it be joint jurisdiction with priority’s as follow between 1. BORTAC, 2. DTU/SWAT, 3. Rangers/ATF, 4. Whoever else. (Standard CID raiding policies)

    Please explain what the suggestion is about and why you're posting it?: Add a few class three rifles and the SDAR back to the pirate ship loot table.  They were on it during pistol only and removed but never re-added.

    Solution on how to make this work?: add a few C3s and SDAR to the loot table as a semi rare chance.

    Pros & Cons?: Pirate ship has more than bats and a few handguns.

    No, they typically have a few potential spawn points it randomly chooses from.  In this case Cocaine shipment has 2 spawn points, that one and one by the dam north of border CP.

    Please explain what the suggestion is about and why you're posting it?: This spawn location for cocaine shipment is right next to DB warehouse, they constantly just backpack it into their warehouse before anyone has a chance to even get close to it giving them an insane advantage.

    Solution on how to make this work?: Move the spawn location from south Houston.

    Pros & Cons?: Pros: Makes it more fair for other to have a chance to compete for the shipment.  Shipment does not cover a part of the residential area.  Cons: DB have to fight a bit harder for their money.

Going to have to say -1 on this, the idea of any C3 being legal is something I agree with personally, not to mention the countless ways this could be cheated or abused.  Just because a gun can be semi-auto does not mean that’s how people will use it and the moment one person abuses the license it will be ruined for everyone else.

BD being unviable is something that has been discussed a number of times, the change was made to change it from CG to BORTAC which has led to even less time it is minable.  IMO it should be set to all of border patrol not just bortac since border patrol are the real deciding factor for if BD runs will be able to be completed easily or not.

     

    Also I can't really tell where you are doing with the CTRG part, but CTRG is not apart of the PD.  They can align to assist the PD but they are a separate faction so that does not really factor in.

This has happened a few times in Anzus history.  The few times I have been around for it, it went underutilized imo.  I think if the right people were put into it, giving organization and some form of structure where there were people responsible for ensuring it was being used and they were being productive then it could do well and provide valuable feedback and outreach.

  17. I like the idea of gang contracts for Illegal runs personally.  It would need to be larger quantity (5K material instead of 2K for example) than the legal contracts though imo in order to balance them out to some degree.

    Why do you want to join the AMR (100 words minimum): I would like to take advantage of the times that I am in both in peak hours and low to assist in the often overwhelming amount of people going down all over the map.  Between peek times being overwhelmed and low times being under staffed, I believe I could make a valuable member of the team.  The AMR serves an important role in the server in the eyes of the population, without a sufficient number of medics online at any given time even if it is just for an hour people all around the sever would bleed out and die.  

    What qualities should a good AMR member have (50 words minimum): The be a good medic you must be patient, have the drive to be willing to roleplay when patients want to, and be frankly competent and knowledgeable of the map in order to best respond to situations and ensure everyone gets the assistance they need.

    Why do you think you fit the role of a full-time AMR member (50 words minimum): I believe I fit the role of a full time American medical response member because I am an active and hard working member of the community, I always strive to be the best at what I do and have the experience to back it up.  I will strive to ensure that when I am on duty, no body does not get Fed, that sounds wrong… I mean F keyed?… the medical attention they deserve!

    Please explain what the suggestion is about and why you're posting it?: 1. Add back the third oil rig. 2. Remove the limit of one being robbed at a time. 3. Reduce the cooldown between robberies - You can rob both rigs, do pirate ship, take a trip to shore and back before the first cooldown is done.

    Solution on how to make this work?: All fairly straight forward.

    Pros & Cons?: Pros - Oil rigs become viable to actually do and be basically once an hour.  Cons - More oil rig robberies requiring PD to respond to.
