Niko Savage's Suggestion if players only have class 1's cops can only use class 1's, if players have class 2's cops can use class 2's etc etc.. been many times cops will roll up with class 2's and we only have class 1's lol.. bit demotivating to do any illegal stuff.

Also the other day there was 15 Civs online, 8 cops, 5 of those cops were sitting in the PD doing sweet fuck all idling until someone started a major crime... they should be doing their job not waiting for the "Action"

    Which server bud? US/UK?

If people shot at you, and you stored it you'd be breaking rules.

I just feel "Gang hideout" you should be able to store/pull cars, you might see more people at the hideouts if you could.

Well Gang Hideouts are a constant KOS, and thus constant dec, and storing vehicles under dec is Combat storing, regardless or not if its when someones shooting at you.

Personally I think there needs to be some Bambi laws, perhaps restricting the ability of criminals to target and rob new players repeatedly.

A server I use to be on had something like this.

It was a Week 1 and Week 2 thing.

Week 1's (when using a [W1] tag) weren't allowed to be dec'd on by civs or robbed. They were essentially immune. If they initiated the dec, then its game on. They could also do illegal stuff, and could be processed as per the norm by Police, etc, as well as dec'd by officers if performing illegal things.

Week 2's (when using a [W2] tag) could be dec'd on and such by civs and robbed of the stuff on their persons, but their vehicles were not allowed to be stolen and chopped. I.e, their vehicles were immune.

This helped to protect new players, and gave them time to get some money without the risk.

They were only protected while having the appropriate tags. If they changed tags, they wouldn't have the protection. They would also get a TS tag to show if they're a W1 or W2.

Just make 1 shop for PD gear and in Brisbane PD there is 2 clothing stores and one of them doesn’t work the AddAction thing is just there

When SRG is called, it adds a second clothing store for SRG members, which is only accessible when you have the license. Otherwise it doesn't work.

Personally, I've asked for the signs to be spaced out.

A new map that's a lot smaller and this would improve the RP on the server!

Make everything cheaper, weapons etc. and remove the bullshit stuff like the blackout screen at supermax while flying a heli, refine the rules abit more and maybe a new map just because this one is way too big

This was already tried, and it nearly killed the community.

Why not though? At this point in time there are what? 3 divisions? PolAir, SRG and DTU - You aren't MEANT to be apart of numerous divisions -  hm - and it opens up more substance for GD officers who aren't able to join the VERY limited amount of spaces in the current divisions.

This isn't my idea only either, it has been passed around a few time for Highway Patrol, Dog Squad, Maritime, re-classify PolAir as a sub division. And its not like you don't have the people for it. DTU & SRG have like 6 slots each or whatever it is but its minimal.

They don't have to be super in-depth but it can create some uniqueness. Those with Dog Squad licence can only buy/use Dogs....yadda yadda.

I think that GD can look unappealing and to add just a small touch of interest to it could be something new for those who have been GD for ages and what something new.

You have the people who are interested in leading these as well, not that they need to be strictly watched and fleshed out (they would still be under complete GD Jurisdiction) but there are people who would work for these, create the SOP's, recruit and train the people.

Finally it means the not being in SRG or not being in DTU, which have limited slots, doesn't leave you left out. People will not make it into DTU and people won't make it into SRG but they can still have the chance to do something special and unique.

Finally there is a surplus of scripts and mods that can flesh these sub divisions out but as it stands, giving them their own little jurisdiction could even be enough.

Obviously I'm not on cop much and perhaps I don't have the same perspective as you but I have heard a few cops speak of these ideas and I think that it is relatively harmless to implement such things whilst boosting the interest of Cops. It gives people a chance to shine in their own respective rights, to prove their leadership on more occasions and creates a better RP interdependence situation within the Force.

Thats my input for the day, but I think this should deserve more then "No." It opens more opportunities  then it shuts and doesn't even require much change to the fundamental aspects of the server.

    Alright.

Both Highway and Dog squad have been in my mind since I first came over on Metro. Currently I'm running GD as no one is stepping up, thus why no one is getting promoted into GD command roles, as no one is wanting to step up into them, which in turn means these "sub-divisions" can't be rolled until that is done, as I'm just one person. Dyna has DTU to work on, Vega has SRG, and we all juggle watching over Academy, and I've been doing what I can for GD and Academy in terms of fleshing things out (Patrol Handbooks, Assessment guides, etc).

I'm still waiting to see the potential in someone wanting to step up and lead, to hand a commanding role in GD to, but currently no one is.

  8. Hi kids,

Just a quick reminder to check where you're placing your applications, as we've had some people placing apps for the wrong server.

This link is for the AU/NZ server - https://anzusgaming.invisionzone.com/forum/35-full-time-enlistment/

And this link is for the US/UK server - https://anzusgaming.invisionzone.com/forum/272-full-time-enlistment/

For any questions about the US/UK server, please address any messages to the Acting Commissioner over there, @Kyle Freeman

And as always, message me for anything in regards to the AU/NZ Police Force. =D
