  1. Just now, Riley Harrison said:

That seems like it would just break roleplay. The entire point of Arma 3 Life servers are basically Make Money, Rob People, Kill Cops, Repeat. Just seems dumb tbh.

You cant Make Money, Rob People, Kill Cops, Repeat, if you want make money in the first place.

I +1 This as I think it will help get newer players into the server. Maybe an option to abandon your L plates at any time but then you lose them forever as well?

  2. A new document is in the works which shall cover the courts constitution.

A separate Bill of Rights shall also be created

This will leave 3 major permanent law documents for the server: (In order of power)

    • Commonwealth Courts Constitution (Justice)
    • Commonwealth Bill of Rights (Justice)
    • Commonwealth Criminal Code (Police - Changes must be approved by the Attorney General/President and Chief Justice)

These documents will further be supplemented by five further sources of law: (This shows the hierarchy of the laws and their power)

    • Enacted Statutes - Permanent laws which stay in force until changed (Justice Department, Drafted by Attorney General, Accepted by Chief Justice and by President)
    • Common Law - Permanent laws (Made by judges through court cases)
    • Executive Orders - Temporary laws (Made by President)
    • Martial Directions - Directions given to police on how they are to use their powers. This shall also include a limited ability to create new laws which shall only operate for a short period of time (Police)
    • Explanatory notes, Court Cases and Legislation from other jurisdictions - These shall generally inform new common law (Real Life)

What shall be contained in each document:

    Courts Constitution

    • Operation and power of the courts
    • Structure of the courts and the positions which hold power
    • Types of cases and regulations for inside the court
    • Evidence admissibility

    Bill of Rights

    • Binding rights which are held by all citizens of Australia
    • Rules which laws must follow
    • Rights during arrests
    • Police Powers

    Criminal Code

    • Basic offences which the police may enforce without using the courts (note: Legislation/Cases from other juristdiction may be used to create new common law offences within Australia which are not inside the Criminal Code published by Police)
    • Standardized sentences for when police sentence by default (courts may differ from these penalties)

Please let me know if you have any suggestions bellow for anything which should be placed inside the Courts Constitution or the Bill of Rights (serious, realistic suggestions only). Also let me know if you think i have missed anything or have any ideas for the courts in general.

The current new database featuring a hierarchy of courts can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DXYfGBGcwMG-rkXVsD3cO6MlzdXUcXcCoW7CHu5aL4E/edit?usp=sharing
While these documents are being rewritten the enforceability of the old SOPs shall be determined by judges on a case by case basis, with a preference of sticking to the existing rules however they may be departed from by relying on drafts of the new documents or laws from other jurisdictions when it is in the interest of justice to do so.

    Thankyou,
