Were saying sitting in water with a sdar shooting people outside is exploiting if normal gun could pin the water with no problem then this wouldn't have been suggested but on other video games you can shoot through water with any gun

yeah, regardless of the weapon, im almost 100% staff have ruled that as exploiting in the past

all the roleplayers talking shit lol. maybe my point wasnt made clear:

im not complaining about the advantage you get from the towers (highground or good cover) its the advantage you get by hiding in them waiting for the whole cop force to respond...

maybe let there be towers at the border but make them not only accessible with a keycard so you can actually push them.

and with the keycard: if i start robbing cops more it just makes them cry same thing happend in 6.0

same for me i dont know why it exists just add a processing building and its fine

Have you been to the hills behind DOC?

+1, the rules and economy is catered to 16 year olds or the unemployed who can sit there for 8 hours a day everyday, these are boring people

If we're going to have this conversation here I do want to guide it. While there are very valid IRL RP reasons for many points of views, please focus this suggestion in direct regards of how this works in game. Let's discus direct ingame examples, and how this, or anything, would have changed it.

allowing better means for civs to protect themselves could open up the avenue to re-allowing, if not partially, the Robbery of legal runs, which has also been a hot topic.

A submachine gun or even an SBR/semi-only Rifle that can adequately defend runners and better level the field from crims with actual class 3s would be better off versus having to choose from a (WW1) bolt-action rifle, a shotgun that does no damage after 5-10m because the spread is wider than Happy's waistline, or a Pistol.

Maybe if there was a better policy on giving out the license instead of handing it out willy nilly. Civs have to go through a formal process and provide a legit reason for needing it.

Even before the Special Carry License (which originally allowed you to possess MP5s, etc.) was forcibly removed, that was never handed out despite any attempts at negotiation over whatever policies, procedures or anything we could come up with to appease them.

Sadly, despite strong support and opinions, I don't see this suggestion getting anywhere because of the strong resentment of seeing anything larger than a shotgun/hunting rifle on a civ's back; evermore-so within City Limits.

  6. I would genuinely like to hear and see evidence from SMT on how a piece of paper and the ability for legal civs to carry a significantly small portion the most underutilized class of weaponry ruined Roleplay when i've seen random civs, on occasion, carrying Class 3s openly on their backs almost everywhere like they're going to grocery shopping even before the bill was introduced.

I think the idea is really cool but the biggest negative I see in this is the need for a 600 truck is something people strive for and it keeps them on the server for longer. If we just hand it to them it I feel the negative outweighs the positive. Open to the opinions of the community further though.

I don't think this would completely negate the desire for someone to own their own 600 truck but rather give them another way to temporarily possess one akin to what players have already been doing on their own: Renting from a third party. The only thing different here is that they would be able to obtain their own 600 quicker at a more consistent rate since they don't have to wait for someone advertising a rental and it's consistently available as long as no one else is using it.

Something like this can also just be minimalized to a shared garage system based on gang, company (existing system), or organization

Howdy, Thanks for the Suggestion Oliver.

This Suggestion will be discussed within the Development Team on how to best approach this, whether it be restriction of storing items within vehicles that have their VIN Scratched Off (with an Alternate Method of storing items as a potential idea as suggested here) or something that allows LEOs to search VIN scratches after they have been stored that makes sense within RP.

(VIN Scratch Ownership will remain Anonymous, however in their current state they need to be nerfed in some capacity).

  9. Type of Suggestion?: Server

Please explain what the suggestion is about and why you're posting it.: While it's nice having a camera app on your phone for taking pictures, I feel like there should be some alternative Camera items that civs can purchase from the Electronic Store and have better/unique features from the phone camera app.

Solution on how to make this work?: Add a Polaroid Camera w/ Filter options (Photo Album storage item included), Normal Handheld Camera w/ better zoom than Phone Camera, and a News Camera that has the best zoom compared to the Phone and Normal handheld. Each price-scaled with their benefits.

    Pros & Cons?:
-Better opportunities to express player creativity

  10. Type of Suggestion?: Server

Please explain what the suggestion is about and why you're posting it.: Sometimes having to F8 Quit to be able to switch characters/return to the menu breaks that streamlined feel while also having to perform extra steps to reboot FiveM and reconnect to the server. Allowing players to return to the character selection menu inside their POH, Paleto Morgue, and other reasonable locations would be a nice QoL improvement for players "going to sleep", etc.

Solution on how to make this work?:

In POH: Allow homeowners to place down an interaction point, similar to Inventory and Clothing Menus, to return to the character selection menu or just tie it into the Clothing Menu interaction point.

In Paleto Morgue/Public/Private Locations: Where-ever convenient or at discretion.

    Pros & Cons?:

-No longer having to F8 Quit to change characters.
